If the vehicle is not registered, it can be insured for the road on chassis number alone.

Hi,

I believe we have several other other members of this forum who also were awarded the PINGAT JASAH medal from the Malaysian Prime Minister, despite already having received General Service Medal with Malaysian Peninsular clasp.

Us Brits are not allowed to hold two medals for the same campaign. Questions were asked "in the House", but HMG eventually wound their necks in.

Medals awarded by Foreign Governments should be worn on the right breast.

OT. My mate had to deal with a request for the issue of a Victoria Cross, won by one of his forebears at Waterloo. Everything checked out, so he approved its issue. He also mentioned a British Squaddy, who rolled up on parade wearing an Iron Cross (originally award to his grandfather in WW1.)

Footman James will offer restoration insurance. I've have a few insured just on the chassis number with them until I have them registered.

I am starting the process of getting Maurice registered. One of the things I need to sort is insurance. Can anyone who has been through this process, or in the know, suggest a company who understands this situation so that I can gain insurance, then get an MOT and then be ready to approach DVLA.

Regards

James

I like it. Did mine by adding a debebender LHD snail/vortex to a RHD heater body. Your version is probably better, simpler and more direct. I'll have your roof set-up too.

The bonnet can do that, and it can also make a nice neat hole in the back of your head......

I drilled out the solid rivets yesterday that I'd used to fit the tub floor support rails so I could replace the dpm strips I'd sandwiched between them and the floor with Duralac and pop riveted them back in place, then bolted the tub on proper ahead of further reassembly.

Still chipping away at this spare gearbox. It selects all the gears and everything seems to co round nice and smooth, so hopefully I haven't cocked it up too bad.
I had a a few different workshop manuals open. And interestingly there's a few contractions... I had an old gearbox article from an issue of CLR which had great pictures... but, they have the syncro hub in the wrong way round.
