Title: Shocks
Post by: Bigdog on Mar 12, 2024, 06:41 PM
Looking to buy shocks for the back and front for my 1970 series 2a 109 ex military, is there a certain type I need as I think the military has extended shackles or something like that, any advice would be much appreciated, thanks

I have a brand new set of standard Girling 109 shock absorbers. If you have a military chassis with extended shackle mounts, they won't fit.

Post a picture of your chassis spring mounts and we can tell you which version you have.

I used RTC4233 and RTC4231 on mine, sometimes they listed as one ton, sometimes as military. They are easy to come by. Got mine from LR centre but plenty of places stock them

So do I - that's the parts no's I use on a 109 ambulance.

If you unsure as Gareth says post a picture and get the 100% certain answer
