Dale Radford used to sell galv strip cut to fit. A bit hard to drill but excellent. I think I got someone to cut me ally strip (on Ebay) not expensive and easy to drill. The disadvantage is it is a bit too bendy and "bunches up" if you rivet to strip on too tightly. Dale or Carl 01346 531062

Insert for rubber moulding

Where are ppl getting the mettle inserts from? I ordered the rubber from Baines, been looking at banding, but It's way too expensive, and its hard to cut and drill

Quote from: diffwhine on May 17, 2024, 07:45 AMGet yourself a tube of Wellseal if you haven't already got one. Best stuff for steering boxes in my view.
I saw this was used in one of the videos. Seems the thing to have.

The reason I know Is all the trucks at work had to have the tax and other disks removed and put on the dash of about 100 HGVs

Had a busy Land Rover week, lots of research and stripping the bonnet back to DBG, it's gone well but there isn't as much as I'd hoped.
Was a bit ago now but I've also printed a replica of the terminal strip to keep as a handy spare.

There's also "driver's" windscreen in some of the text. Having a split screen makes things a little more/less complicated.

That's it right there, and the point I was making. I belong to a local classic-car club, and there's always an MG owner with driving-gloves and leather elbow patches. If you spend any time on other forums and car-clubs you're soon aware how Mini, Beetle and LR owners are mocked. We get roasted something rotten. I have to smile, I'm left to wonder if I've become my own stereotype. Seems LR owners with umpteen jerry-cans, are all called Nigel, have facial-hair, and can recite the advantages of four different routes to Cleethorpes.

If you can't beat 'em... I think the stereotype is me.

do eyebrows count as facial hair?
