Quote from: Seanlandy on Today at 06:36 AMThat's a very kind offer. I cant imagine you will get time to do them all, but if you do. Mine's a 69 2a light weight on chassis no. 23601134A
Unfortunately, the engine is now a 300tdi so not originally.
Any additional info beyond the B Card would be gratefully received. Thank you.
Added to the list Sean. Great if you could let me know colour and reg in the meantime. Best, James

Fascinating - that's a new one on me. There are some folks hereabouts who may know more than me but it might require a separate thread, if you'd like to start one as they probably won't be reading this thread.

Cheers, James

Get yourself a tube of Wellseal if you haven't already got one. Best stuff for steering boxes in my view.

Watched videos and read up on overhauling my steering box. Doesn't actually appear too bad a job, although that may change once I start. Off to Craddocks to get bits once it opens at 8

I find that the person sitting in the passenger seat is a convenient and effective holder.

Yeah, I get that.
"Is it a runner?"
I think it's because older cars are synonymous with breakdowns and so are Land Rovers, unfortunately.
It's double the assumption.

Funnily enough, I've had that question when it's been ticking over  :confused

I'm a RAM mount convert now having used cheap AA branded ones for years. Beauty of the Ram holder is you only need the 'ball' attached to the vehicle and and holder and arms etc can be moved from vehicle to vehicle. Scores of different options and it's all interchangeable. Very good at isolating from vibration too. It's a great system but they aren't too cheap.

In terms of quality, I have one from Pegasus (1963 version), and it is very very good.

And I got mine during the bad times!
