Title: Owatrol - Paint and/or Vinyl Trim Restorer.
Post by: Crumbly65 on Jul 13, 2023, 04:20 PM
Anyone used this?  It does look good on the website (as you would expect) but do their products actually work on tired paint and faded vinyl trim?

Grateful for feedback/views etc.  :coffee

I'm using the Owatrol oil on a number of projects at the moment including a 1949/50 gearbox rebuild and various bits of the club cutaway engine. Got to say that so far, I can't fault it - great stuff. Takes an age to dry and harden, but worth the wait.
Can't vouch for what you are using, but if it's anything like the oil/lacquer, I'm sold!

Polytrol is great for plastic trim on the Disco that has gone grey. Doe4sent was off the first time it rains. Also good for polished  aluminium that has oxidised. Not cheap though.
