That's going to be hard to beat (once every 20 years event).

I'm a unicyclist (I own four...). A penny-farthing is something I'd be happy to try!

Coventry motor museum has a huge range of early bicycles, a great many were made in the city.
Well worth a look in if anywhere near.

Group meeting, plenty of chinwagging. New member turned up. Then a couple of local green lanes.

Talking of steering relays, I came across this in my pile of bits today and though what an excellent solution to the variable steering relay diameter issue. I assume its a modification by the owner as I've not seen one before, but with elongated holes and adjustable width, it seems like an excellent solution.

And they made motorcycles as well. A friend has 4 of them - incredible bits of early 20th century engineering.

Exhibited the Land Rover at the Thruxton Vintage event. It was the only Series there and the only other Land Rover vehicle was an LHD 1971 Range Rover on Q plates. I was advertising the Series 2 club through the spec sheet that was very kindly made for me when I attended a Series 2 club tand at Thruxton Land Rover event in June 2022.
Met a few mates that I recognised and some that knew me but I couldn't place them.
Apparently exhibiting was by invitation only.
A small event but pretty good for the organising club's first event. I will go again if I get an invite.
Cheapest burger was £6, I took my own sausage bap, considerably cheaper.
I drove home via the back roads and the temperature gauge stayed in the middle of the dial and the Kenlowe never cut in.

Started up the Panda Camper for the 1st time in nearly a year. Tried yesterday in fact but the battery was flat despite having trickle charger on it. Anyway ... it fired up. Blue smoke and a bit rattley. It needs a good road run round our lanes to see if it clears.

without the Tdi.

To be honest it is something I only recently found out.
Knew Rover made cycles and had heard of the 'safety' but did not realise one and the same.
