Title: 1969 Series IIA 109 6-cylinder s/w CKD axle numbers South Africa
Post by: Jaws on Sep 14, 2023, 05:53 PM
Greetings all from Johannesburg,

I have a 1969 IIA 109 6-cylinder station wagon, assembled in South Africa from a CKD kit.

I'm trying to establish what the correct axle prefix, and suffix, should be for this Landy. James Taylor's Specification Guide on II and IIA only mentions up to prefix 254 (see page 30).

Details for mine are as follows:

Chassis No.: 35200986G
Engine No.: 34515985B
Gearbox No.: 34317518E
Front Axle No.: 34513302B (prefix, 345, unconfirmed if indeed correct)
Rear Axle No.: TBC

Best to all from sunny South Africa,
Jaws

Is it a Rover axle or an ENV axle?

Unfortunately all my reference books are in storage pending a house move, so can't check much I'm afraid.
