I have just bought myself a Bosch grinder. In my haste I failed to check and it is 750W 110 V.
It was bought in a clearance sale so non returnable. Can I just put a plug on or is there any way to convert to 240v ?

I believe you can buy transformers to convert 230v AC to 110v AC. They're widely used in the building trade.

As above, you will need a transformer. The grinder will have a yellow plug on it which won't fit 240v socket.
Transformers are not too expensive at screwfix and the like but may negate the saving you made on the grinder

Yea, that what I was worried about.
I may have look for 2nd hand Transformer.

The transformers are about £80 new from Screwfix, you might pick one up cheaper secondhand but unless it's local pickup postage will be a killer. Probably best to try and sell on EBay.

That's the problem with buying in haste, I picked up a "bargain' Mag Drill from an Amazon warehouse sale, turned out to be 110volts but box said 240volt! Amazon offered me money back but not a 240volt version, fortunately a friend had a spare transformer.
