General Discussion / Re: Insurance

Amongst the many questions on the AF form was the date I passed my Driving test. Date !
I mean, like many on here I'm sure, I passed my tests some decades ago, so what difference does the actual date make ?
Now I know that information is obtainable amongst the various dates on my licence, but surely the date can't be significant.
Unless of course I'm a higher risk having passed on a Tuesday !  ???

To start with dont do as Dopey says it wont work you will just make life difficult

You need to go through the V55/5 scheme for first registration of a used vehicle.  You have no control over the registration mark allocated it will just be the next age related one on the list for the year of your vehicle.

Once that is all sorted and you have it registered in your name and all legal to be on the road you can buy a cherished number if you so wish but get it registere first without complicating things

How time flies...
It was on page 44 of the Summer 2022 edition. I'd swear it was done only last year. :thud

Baines do that seal sold by the metre.
Have a look at Craggle's article in B2L from last year. It was either in the Summer or Autumn edition.

I've got a 1997 Land Rover product update training brief. One of the model year introductions in 1997 was non latching switch for the "rear fog guard system".

It is a term used within LR and has been for some time. How that fits with this light, I know not.

Quote from: diffwhine on Yesterday at 04:52 PMThey a huge range of rubber extrusions, but as far as I am aware, not vehicle specific. Which seals are you after?

Above the door for a 2 door 88in, the bit that attaches to the roof, and the back of the roof the where the arch is for the rubber seals (I think I will post pics instead of explaining..... I can't lol) the rubbers around the door (I have a cat flap)
