Hi everyone
Does anyone know if you can get a wire (banjo) steering wheel for the later steering column ie with bolt on the end instead of pinch bolt?
Many thanks
Stece

Yes you can, I've seen 18" type from early 1960's MGB and others and 15 1/2" fom Midgets and Sprites like my picture. I have a 15 1/2 one on a 86" with a 11a Column

Hi John,

I thought that the 88" had a longer column than the 86" (but we all know what thought did).

602 (Happy to be corrected)

Yes your right the 11a colum is longer but only by just over a inch so not ideal but it does give much better steering than the original series one column with less wonder and the smaller steering wheel more than makes up for the wheel being closer to the gut area :RHD
but if you use the 18" MGB wheel in a 86" with a 11a column it could well be a problem, depending on your diet!
