They're worth what someone will pay.
I've not researched this on eBay, but FWIW I'd ask £25 to £30 the pair inc. p&P

And before anyone else jumps in ... I know these are available to view on our club's website ... BUT ... people do like to have a hard copy to hand to browse through over a cup of tea and a biscuit  :coffee

If they don't sell drop the price to £20.

General Discussion / Re: Emberton Discount not work...

Had the same issues a couple of times, but wanted to order some items of much higher value so wanted to use the code. I sent Emberton a mail over the weekend and just had an answer. You need to contact them to get added to a list, to protect the discount code.
Makes perfect sense to me.

Hope it helps.

I'm not sure if this is the right place to put it or not so, please accept my apologies if I'm wrong.
Just wondered if someone could tell me what the price of the  they look to be in good condition but discovered by oil on the side and read. Both are first editions. As I would like to sell them but I don't want to give them away but I also don't want to do anybody, if that makes sense.

I have rope tied in the back, with a climbing caribeener on the end.there is a small hole on the disc lock that is part of the mechanism, I found a caribeener that would fit through. Its quick and easy to use, just clips in and out. Obviously I set the rope far enough back it can't hit the back of my head if it tries to fly fwd.

Never met him but sad to hear another familiar name disappear from the club. I remember seeing his postings as long as I've been on here. I also never knew he was your father!
Condolences to you and the family.

General Discussion / Re: Tracking systems
Last post by Space-Kook - Nov 17, 2024, 10:05 PM
Pretty much all trackers use the same software repackaged with pretty labels, it doesn't matter.

Only thing I'd say is make sure you get one using 4G as some of the cheaper companies are still selling 2G devices.
2G will be switched off in a few years and you will have bought a brick.

How old is the battery ?
5+ years and it will be past its best.

Does the battery hold its charge ?
A good battery should hold charge for at least 2 weeks. Less than a week = get a new battery.
What's the voltage reading across the terminals ?

12.7V and the battery is good
12.4V and the battery is past its best
12 to 12.2V (or lower) - get a new battery

Now the cold weather is here the battery's efficiency goes right down.

A Land Rover in good mechanical condition, well maintained should start on the key, no cranking over and over  :shakinghead
If it does this there's something wrong.

If the vehicle has been left a while then manually prime the carb with the fuel pump arm.
If the vehicle is being left for long periods consider adding a fuel preservative to the tank. More so in these days of E5 and E10.
Also worth fitting a "smart" battery conditioner/trickle charger. You can get these from Aldi and/or Lidl for around £18. When the vehicle is not in use connect up the charger.
No access to mains power - use a solar powered trickle charger.

For a Series Land Rover there is absolutely no need to fit a ballasted coil system  :shakinghead

General Discussion / Re: Round heater ducting hose
Last post by island dormy - Nov 17, 2024, 08:22 PM
Both my Dormobiles have 2 inch diameter hose with a large demister attachment, other rovers I've been in have smaller hose and much smaller demisters for the windscreen. I was riding with a buddy on a cold rainy day we couldn't keep the front windscreens clear, when I opened up the floor vent on the heater the motor speed up by a huge amount, he had the smaller restrictive windscreen vents and smaller hoses.
