Just wondering if anyone has fitted a bench seat to the front of there series Land Rover , thanks

Plenty of people. My 109 pickup in Zimbabwe had a bench seat covered in real elephant hide. It was properly made with springs and like a sofa.

Fine until you want to access the tool locker.

Didnt S2B FC built for GPO have a two seater bench partly over the engine cover . There was one at a garage near Earslwood  30 years ago & I was told it was original to the vehicle

I have an original front bench seat out of a South African 3S station wagon fitted in my swb. The S3 is the SA version of a Stage 3 but with a 2.6l straight six motor (R6 engine) Virtually all locally built series land rovers had a front bench seat.
The early bench seats were one piece base and a one piece folding back rest, the S3 version is more refined and is sprung.

The first CKd I inspected was a CKD Station Wagon and both rows of seats were red leathere bench seats

On those roads, standard seats are pretty much useless!

I believe that was Tom Barton's whole philosophy . your backside was the limiting factor on how fast you drive on poor surfaces, not the vehicle

Dormobiles come fitted with a front bench seat, well actually the drivers seat is a single but the 2 passengers sit in a double.
