Anyone fitted these rims on their series and any thoughts regarding them, thanks

Old Hywel

No, horrible things. Nothing to do with Defenders either.

Think they are Weller rims and come with a set off G90 on them, if I decided to go with them I would paint them the military green

Craig T

They are called "Modular wheels" for some reason.
They came about after the white 8-spoke craze in the 80's - 90's

The blue and red stripe was a genuine Weller Wheel thing but I think it got copied by a number of aftermarket manufacturers.
Nothing wrong with these wheels though, good and solid and they are tubeless so tyre choice will be far easier.

If your happy with a non original look, Discovery 1 steel rims are cheap second hand, strong and tubeless, often found for £5 each if you look around
Used to be "oilstain" on old forum

My 109 has a set of them fitted, in black with the red stripe (now faded). They came as part of a tyre deal I bought back in 2006. As said, not original but they are round and they fit 😎

I thought the Discovery 1 steel rims were demanding quite high prices these days?

I recently obtained a set of 8 spokes that will be refurbished in white and I will paint the blue and red stripes back on. Intend to use them on my 86" station wagon for anytime I want to drive more than the around the local area. Think they will look pretty good on there, proper 1980's retro look.

Serious Series

I have seven Disco 1 wheels that I have offered for sale and no takers located Jarrow on Tyneside.
