In case some don't realise " Interparcel " have two new services on offer which allow for the " posting " of BIG items for quite modest cost.

1/ " Proovia " offer a 2 man delivery service for items up to 4 metres lenght with a max of 150 Kgs from £31.50 +vat

2/ " Tuffnels " offer a service for items up to 6 metres length with a max of 100 Kgs from £28.85 + vat

Hope the above can be of use as the costs are cheaper than a traditional " pallet " service   :cheers-man  :RHD

that would be great....but....
I just went on their website and haven't see anything closer to that price.

Where have you seen it?

Do you have a screenshot?

A friend of mine used to work for Tufnells. He swore blind that as long as he lived he would never trust them to deliver anything for him. Inside view on proceedings perhaps jaundiced his view...

I have always used "Big Dave" of MD Couriers he is a sponsor on defender2.net and delivers big items ie. palletised tyres and wheels.  He sends a description on how to package the items.  Prices are reasonable but more than those quoted above.

I didn't say what standard - they were competition Uri Geller in their ability to turn straight items into contorted shapes

His exact phrase was "If you put one of the delivery drivers in a locked padded cell with two ball bearings, he'd break one and lose the other"...
