Buying an import

I'm thinking of buying an vehicle imported from outside the EU, is the presence of a logbook from the country of origin all that's needed to get an age-related plate? Nova in place, but not yet registered here.

Before you do anything, run it past Peter Holden our Vehicle Registration Officer. You will get a lot of opinions on here, but before you even think about talking to DVLA, get the facts off Peter first.
