DVLA reckon it's got a 3336cc diesel engine! I'm curious as to what that might be- it sounds rather like a Perkins 4203 conversion.

You're correct, it has a Perkins 4203 fitted and I've just rebuilt it with genuine parts only with recalibrated pump and recon injectors at a cost of over £950!
It should now outlive me.

I recall seeing 2 variations of track laying LR's at a roadside garage not too far from Crianlarich. No time to stop and look more closely sadly.
A few years ago now, I wonder if they're still there.
