Morning All,

In the ongoing quest to get the old heap moving down the open road under its own power, my attention is on wheels. I might as well restore these before fitting new Michelin XZLs.

The wheels are currently black. The BMH heritage certificate for the car states colour as "Green/Black".

I cant figure out if the "black" part is the heritage description for the chassis thats visible in places, or if it would have had a black wheels and even truck cab roof?

Any thoughts? I haven't stripped the wheels yet but not seeing any white poking through anywhere. I like the black and it will wear/show dirt less, but want to keep it largely original.

No, the wheels would have been limestone.

Black refers to to the trim colour.

The paint is called light green, there was never such a colour as pastel green on a land rover.
