Series 3 screen frame on a Series 2a?

Hi all,
I am wondering of a Series 3 windscreen frame will fit without modifications on a Series 2a Safari Roof (1961).

No

They will fit at the top onto the station wagon roof just fine but the hinges onto the bulkhead brackets are very different. Series three hinges are bolted on affairs, the series two versions are large welded plates.
