Looking for a new loom. Autosparks come in at £287. Options please.

The autosparks one is worth every penny. I'm not sure what the other options are really... although the previous owner of mine obviously thought one option was to manufacture a wiring loom from bits of dishwasher and scrap household wires.

Id buy another autosparks one in a heartbeat if I had another project going.

278£ buys you just the main harness though. I think if you add everything up you're closer to 400£.

I made my own about 10 years ago using all the correct colours and  good quality wires. I added relays for the main lights and a couple more fuses. Not cheap but also not 400 quid. As I'm doing a chassis swap and want a bit more originality I'll probably get an Autosparks this time. You could have my old harness, but it will take some time as I need to keep the Landy mobile.

The auto sparks one is superb I'm just on with fitting it now on mine however everything all in cost me more than 400 quid I can tell you .

Some members have reported good results from  https://thewiringharnesscompany.co.uk/. They are based in Worcestershire, not sure how they match up price wise .

I've used them many times. Prices were cheaper last time I checked and I had no problems.

Well now ...
What options does your vehicle have ???

Petrol or diesel ?
Dynamo or alternator ?
Tow hitch ?
Do you want a rear fog light ?
Front spot lights ?
Reversing/work light ?
Heater ?

I have bought from Autosparks twice now and find if you call and explain what you have, they know what to provide you. My series 2a still has the dynamo, so I bought that option with the aux panel option so I could wire up my 12v and USB ports. The battery is a separate option which I also bought.

I'm pleased to find this topic as I have a nice 1966 2a which is broadly in decent order, but I'm every worried about the wiring. There's a lot of original wiring that's starting to look a bit iffy, with the usual amount of fixes/bodges added over the years (including by me!!).

Will look at the couple of suppliers mentioned above, but does anyone have a) any recommendations for auto electricians in the West Yorkshire area that could replace, and b) any historic data on how much one might charge, so I can start to save up?

Might also need to get some of the dials refurbed!

Still not sure about the protocol. I read it, and then forget it. Something to do with alcohol.
So, I thought I'd be getting a price for the wiring loom, but not sure if I posted my requirements. Could this be early onset?
