There are clubs and there are clubs

As a Series 3 owner I couldn't find a club that offered what I thought should be offered until I found the Series 2 club. Initially I joined just the forum but I was made welcome then joined the club. I found it very helpful and until now I
haven't needed any help but have tried to help others where I can, until now.
Recently I broke a half shaft and posted it on the forum.  Diffwhine contacted me saying he likely had all the parts so I sent him a list of what I thought was needed and this morning he delivered it personally for an extremely good price. I have belonged to a few motoring/owners clubs but have never come across the friendship that exists here.
So thanks to all my forum mates and of course the committee for giving me such a warm welcome
No snobbery here.

In contrast to the previous post the so called "mate" whom I was helping (and who hardly lifted a finger) hasn't bothered to contact me. I will not answer the phone to him now but he always leaves a message so I'll check that first before deciding what to do.
