Would anyone have any photos showing the above please for a 1968 onwards swb truck cab delux roof lining.

I have managed to collect from a number of sources most of the fabric covered alloy pieces for the quarter lights, the metal frame head frame and head panel above the windscreen.  But I've never seen the headliner in situ so if anyone has one and could share some photos that would be a great help please.

I'm still looking for the roof side cant panels above each door, the back window top and bottom rails.  From the parts book these pieces look fairly easy to make, but if someone has some photos of them disassembled or the dimensions they could share that would be a great help.

Thank you in advance
Martin

A couple here I saved from Facebook a while ago.

Hope it helps.

Crikey, I didn't even know that was a thing.
I'll add that to the list of things to forage for / fabricate.
How interesting. 😁😁

Deluxe cabs are not common - I have one on Legless my diesel, where it is helpful in reducing noise - so the components are difficult to find.

It will be interesting to see if you can make the necessary parts.

Good luck.  :cheers-man

If its on any help, this is the 2B I once owned . I relined it in "Oatmeal"  on an original frame

Thank you Tom. From the photos it looks like there is a return along at least one, possibly both of the long edges.  Would you be able to confirm if that is the case and if so the size of the return, please  (Diagram in parts book suggests both edges have returns).

The door over pieces look simple enough to make, just a question of getting the radius/bend correct.

It won't be for a while, as it's my winter job, but I will post up templates for all the parts in due course.

Thanks all for the photos and information so far.

Very nice and thank you for the photo. Yes it helps understand the layering of The pieces. The upper seat belt location matches the door side panel I have, which has a hole at the same location, whereas Toms picture doesn't as the belts are the earlier type.  I suspect certain parts of the lining evolved overtime.

You're absolutely right. There is a return of 4mm on both edges. Didn't spot that at first!

Tom

The top and bottom rear pieces that fit above and below the rear window were actually hardboard, rather than aluminium.

This one measures 1006mm x 101mm and is of 3mm thick hardboard. Annoyingly, I can't lay my hand on the other one right now, although looking at pictures it seems that they are very similar in size.

Thats interesting because there are two curved pieces to the lower quarter light, the underside piece fits within the turned down edges of the top piece and is also made of 3mm hardwood. I had wondered if it was a repair, but as both right and left pieces I've acquired from different sources were hardboard it seems not, especially as you've got other bits made from hardboard.  Another piece sized, thank you.

Another adaptation over time...

I've noticed that in all of the pictures above, the trim piece above the rear window is rectangular, with the corner curved pieces separate.

On mine (not sure if earlier or later) the back was in two pieces encompassing the corner and meeting in the middle of the cab.

Apologies for using this thread as a brain dump  :confused
