I`m pretty sure I recognized an East German made Wartburg Knight travelling that road. Two-stroke, three cylinder, with a free-wheel in the transmission, meaning gear changes could be made without using the clutch.

In the 1970`s a local garage imported and sold them new (right hand drive), so we got used to seeing them around and I also got to drive a couple of them. Gave me the feeling they were built like a tank and pretty quick to.
