Hi
Unfortunately I have to sell my Series 2a, 1969 vintage (54 year old) Landrover due to a terminal illness, resulting from the blood contamination scandal of the 1980's.

I am located near Stansted Airport, M11 J8 / A120, Harlow is 8 miles away, not far from M25.

I have owned my Landy since 2003, I.e. the last 21 years, and have both hard and soft tops, with hoops and a canvas and various orher spares, and a complete set of rims.

The bodywork is.in an original unrestored condition.  It was owned byI think Devon and Somerset fire department, and the red paint is visible under 40 shades of green!

The engine and gearbox are original, and the engine 2286 petrol runs really smoothly, with a new Webber carb.

I would like the vehicle to go to someone who will restore it properly, and was looking for advice as to the best place/method to sell it.  I am considering Autotrader eBay etc, My email address is:
[email protected]
Any advice would either as a response here (or to my email if that is allowed) be very much appreciated.

Alistair - where are you based? Much depends on overall condition and levels of originality (if relevant). It would help possibly to get a local member to help with a bit of an appraisal. Failing that, some photos would help a bit I'm sure.

Mate, I hope you get some interest from the club.
I know what you're going through.

Folks, let's help our friend.

Alastair, I am not too far away in Finchingfield.

I do not need another Land Rover, but if I can help in any way, let me know.

Best way/place to sell your vehicle to a good home/owner is to advertise it on here - in our For Sale section.

It costs you nothing.

Give as good a description you can with lots of pictures - at least a from, back and each side view. Then an engine bay and cab shot and rear tub.

This applies to any advert you post.

Also, consider posting it up on our FB group page.

Leave the ad in place for a few weeks to gauge interest.

Then try other advertising outlets.
