Got a genuine letter about energy schemes this morning. Unfortunately it was just to inform me that I no longer qualify for the Winter Fuel Allowance😠

Snap ... today they sent both me and Mrs Wittsend the same letter. If they saved on stamps and doubled up that would save some cash for extra heating, but they generated a little heat on the fire.

You'd think that they'd take into consideration all the money we have to
spend on our Land Rovers and then we should all qualify.

I have to say that is one of the most obvious scams I have seen.
Really hope nobody falls for it.
I had two calls recently from different numbers about an hour apart.
"Hi this is Jo your local Energy Advisor". Trying to sell you something at great expense that you don't need or want.
Saw that one off and blocked the number. About an hour later she rang back, same intro'.
I said hello Jo how are you had many sales ? She hung up !
