I am wondering whether someone can help me with insurance options. I live in France and so I don't think I can get an English insurance. My vehicle is coming to me and I want insurance here. My current insurance company is having a moment because it is on an English plate and is 1958 and doesn't fit into Defender etc. can anyone suggest a way forward for me please?

Hi when we moved to France both our cars were on UK plates the only company here that would insure us was https://www.generali.fr not cheap and had to registrar cars within three months , once registered in France went with masccotte assurance for the series .

If you're  still looking... Credit Agricole bank has just insured our Series 2A Dormobile on English  plates for a year, as a "Voiture de Collection" (Historic  Vehicle). Wè have to show them our Attestation  from the Federation  Francaise de Voiture d'Epoque once we have it and then our new French log book once we have that. Very reasonably  priced.
