I am a member of a couple of forums and there seems to be an issue with the supply of fuel filler hose quality as in they are only lasting a couple of years before the rubber degrades.
Would it be practical for the club to contact Emberton imperial to see if he would consider getting some silicon versions of this item manufactured?

Is silicone fuel resistant?

I worked at a company once that decided using standard silicone blue hoses was okay for turbo hoses. It really wasn't, the oil residue soon made them blow up like balloons or slip of the couplings.

I think my strimmer uses silicone hoses but I have to change them every few years.

Craig.

Viton is the material for fuel systems.

Mine was replaced some time ago. More than likely I would have bought it from the late lamented Dunsfold.
