Peter,

I have been quite unfortunate.  I did contact them and they stated that I would get a refund, but I am still waiting after 2 weeks.  I cannot say that from my personal experience and their sharp replies from somebody called Tyla accusing me of deliberately breaking the switch. This whole matter continues to be a series of unfortunate events with Emberton Imperial.

Always found Emberton quite an expensive reseller of parts that are often available cheaper elsewhere. Take for example these same products. However if a superior level of service and after sales warantee is offered then paying slightly over the odds may be justified. Make your own minds up.

I recently bought a handbrake gaiter and comparing it with the one I removed, the Emberton one was a far better quality.
I've never had any problems with them.
Series 3 Owner but interested in all real Land Rovers.

Hi Chaps
I've just rejoined the forum after probably a few years so thanks for all the comments and feedback. As on facebook I appreciate anyone who lets me know if someone has an issue as we are not omnipotent!
For discount codes just email us with your club number and we'll sort it ([email protected])
The distributor we were called about just yesterday and have accepted the return of course, not really sure what the issue was there, we've never seen that before.
The switch we refunded on the day according to our website system. However on further investigation paypal had not processed it (no idea why) so this was done manually.
We are always happy to field calls or emails with any issues.
We always try to be competitive of course, Land Rover parts are super competitive and we try to offer an excellent service. There are several reasons why we may not be the cheapest:
1) VAT registration, some of our parts come from individuals who make a few parts on a small scale and don't need to charge VAT. That is the case with the lenses in the photos. That said we are getting those tooled ourselves in 2025
2) Shipping, ebay want us to use a fully tracked service, folk expect it now but for small items this doubles the shipping cost
3) Supply cost, some suppliers offer 10% discount to the trade which means our retail is forced to be higher. Also some companies have accessed better supply prices if they have buying power to do so.
4) Quality, this is hard to define, where possible we stock OEM but many parts aren't available any more or the factories are gone. Other parts we have retooled, for instance we have our own speedo cables made as the common aftermarket Series 3 had a huge failure rate.
5) Customer service, we spend hours answering messages and trying to help our fellows find parts that fit. Online is a hostile world these days, this week we had a clone website pop up, in 2 weeks new EU regulations mean we have to have a designated individual living in the European Union (we have this sorted). Ebay feedback is effectively unpoliced and although 99.8% of the feedback is really great, the balance makes for much more interesting reading! Around half is courier related and the balance is usually something we weren't aware of!
I really appreciate all our customers who help sustain our little business lest join the ranks of other great companies that are sadly missed.
Thanks again folks, I do appreciate your support!

Thank you Charles.
Its always refreshing when suppliers actively engage with their clients and this is very much appreciated. I've bought quite a few items off you over the years and never seen fit to have any concerns.
Having worked with Land Rover and Land Rover parts (both Genuine and aftermarket) I feel your pain. Things go wrong - that's life. It's how the suppler deals with that issue which dictates opinion. There will always be some cases where no matter what you do, you cannot satisfy some people. We've all had the nightmare customer issue where no matter what you do to appease, it just seems to get worse!
We are lucky to have small business suppliers like you supporting us. Long may it continue!
