Hi.

Ref my Hyundai Kona (Electric), registered early January this year. Registration KO73VKC.

I believe it is insured with LV, but I have no recollection of receiving any insurance documents.

Nor do I have any recollection of receiving a V5 REGISTRATION DOCUMENT.

Somewhere in the house, I have all (I hope) bank statements going back several years, so it seems that I am going to be busy.

Today I had a discussion with a gentleman at my local main dealers. Not exactly amicable.  Being a Sunday, I doubt that HE was the "Big Nebby" .

Motor insurance can be checked on the Motor Insurance Bureau website. I've had a look and although I can access your details I'm not permitted to do so as I'm not the vehicle owner and as such would be committing an offence which seems daft as it's easily accessible by anyone. I don't know if it's monitored.
Series 3 Owner but interested in all real Land Rovers.

The MIB Database is not generally monitored, regarding transaction logs.
The vehicle IS is insured and registered on MIB.
Confirmed on HPI.

You'll have to check with MIB or LV to conform you have insurance with a particular company.

You should have been sent a V5c and reputable insurance companies will have sent electronic and / or physical documentation.

I hope your document search is fruitful.

John I have leased cars before and never had a V5c as I don't own the vehicle I was just the driver. Not sure this is the case with you.
All documents with LV you have to visit their web page and "log in" this you have to set up using your own details, then you can see your documents and print them if need be.
The world is not designed for older people who have limited computer knowledge.

Ownership is not the criteria for having a V5C, it is the keeper who may not be the owner.

Hi All.

Thanks for your thoughts.

I had mentioned to Barbara that it won't be long before HMG will have forced everyone to drive electric, and the panicking mobs will clear the showroom "shelves".

Almost literally minutes later, my brand new battery powered Hyundai Kona arrived on the drive. I love it, and the way it kicks me between the shoulder blades, when requested, at virtually any speed.

In about 25 minutes, it's temporary (maybe) replacement is scheduled to arrive on my drive, while the assessors take the first one away to give it the string and plumb-weight treatment. There is just a hint that the shell is lozenged.

At this moment, I do not know if she has already ordered me another new car. I do wish she would discuss things with me!
