Front door seals hardtop

Just about to fit the front door seals but got a question, does the top seal go from one side to the other with the side seals going up to it or does the side seals go to the top of the frame and then the top seal fits in the gap between.

Unless for the showground, it won't matter. I got seals from a Volvo 850. Very good, but heaps of work. Until then forget it. Some worse than others, they all leak. Sou'wester recommended.

I think, (but not absolutely sure), that the top line goes right across and the verticals go up to it. Mine have not yet been touched but but the original seals had a steel metal strip formed into the seal and it was just cut to length. I have a set of the original seals in my store, so can have a look after Christmas, but not therefore for a few days. Logically, I would snip a bit off the soft rubber extrusion on the verticals where it meets to top section. That way you could tuck the rubber covered metal strip up under the top section in each corner.
These are some photos of my driver's side which I took for reference. That suggests that despite what I said above, the corners are cut at 45 degrees so no overlap.

In reality it could be a combination of either!

I did think about mitering the corners and using rubber cement to bond the corners together.

  The side seals should go under the top seal, water runs downhill (that's the first rule they teach you in plumbers school), anyway take your time once you cut the wrong piece off its to late.

  My 62 dormobile is virtually water tight in  both rainstorms and when it gets a bath in the drive way. I have a tiny bit of water that comes in through the firewall up under the dash.

Hi Victor that did not cross my mind but sounds logical like roof tiles the top one overlaps the bottom one.
