Yet again i am having trouble bleeding series brakes. I know it should be so easy but this time ive fitted a late series dual system with servo .
Ive filled  the reservoir . The front chamber serves the front brakes and the rear chamber serves the rears.

It took some tome to even get fluid out of the master cylinder unions but if i crack the unisons where the brake pipe enters the master cylinder, some fluid comes out on pedal press but not at the pressure and speed i would expect.
This is the same at the wheels with a spit of fluid some times but nothing more.

I now realise there is an adjustable bolt at the end of the servo pushrod but not sure if this needs to have a small tolerance between it and the master cylinder or not. ive tried the small tolerance but alas no joy.

Has anyone successfully bled a new system like this without issue and can give me some pointers please as im sure im missing something.

PS does the engine need to be running to provide a vacuum to bleed??

Does your system have the shuttle valve (as fitted to S3s?).

Also, have you used brake hose clamps to isolate sections of the system to find where the problems are?

Landybus

No shuttle valve involved and i have wound out the adjusters so there is no slack in the system. i will try the hose clamps but i feel the problem is more at the master cylinder somehow.

Serious Series

try loosening the bolts holding master cylinder to servo jam a thin washer either side and see if it bleeds better, had to adjust the rod in servo a little when I fitted a servo to my brakes.

turns out the master cylinder supplied by craddocks was US. i bought a Britpart one off ebay and problem sorted. waiting on Craddocks to resolve but as usual they take their time going through returns process and other delays uneccssary.
