Mid June trip to Scottish Borders

Anyone in the Scottish Borders region?  Good friend is running the Spine race from the Midlands up to Scottish borders.  Will be in the area from June 14 and returning the 22nd.  Fly into London, drive up to Hebden Bridge then further north to Kirk Yetholm.  Any pub meets or gatherings in the area?  would love to connect with fellow rover enthusiasts ...and find a truck cab rear panel, tailgate and a few other misc parts while I am over.  Any leads on some used spares would be most appreciated.
If anyone else on here is a birder would love some input on good walks for such in the area.  Thanks and hope to meet some of you while I am over. - Jopa from the States

I wish you were driving back! I would have loved for you to pick up a safari roof for me, sadly I don't think I will ever get it to London, anyway good hunting for your bits, it's possible he might have had some for you also
