Insurance Cover

Whilst away for the week in New York, a 60th Birthday gift from the family ( Had to get that in) 
I received two Emails from my insurer, the first telling me that my new policy had started the second that my Policy had lapsed ?
Unable to call I Emailed, with no response. So back home I have phoned them. It turns out they have changed Underwriter, so Email one was informing me of that, though it never and the second was to inform me that everything was back in place. Only they arrived wrong way around, and I did not really need to know, other than that I was covered.
Talk about how to confuse a stupid person ! 
Whilst checking the Policy I noted the exclusion of cover 'if vehicle was parked within 500m of home address if not in locked garage'.
I specifically stated LandRover was kept on drive when taking out cover. They confirmed cover still applied on driveway but a bit concerning non the less.
