Can someone point me in the direction of photos of the early side steps

I guess you are looking for the rectangular versions?

I have this photo I saved from someone else on the forum. The brackets look the same, just the tread plate was flat with ribbed rubber sheet held down with aluminium angle round the edges.

My 1967 one should have the half round shape but I need to get some more supports made for the underside as the original ones had two supports, modern reproductions only have the one.

Craig has used a photo ^ that I put on here, some years ago. I bought three of those just for their mounting frames which are the same as for the earlier rectangular steps.

I had my two existing rectangular steps repaired and two more made from new.
