I have an 88 tub/trailer and finally got around to putting parking brakes on it. :thud  Lots harder than I thought. :teacher

Hi Gene,

I used to have the dregs of a Sankey ... it had obviously been parked for a long time with the drain holes in place, so was rusted through. The drain holes were intended to stop water getting IN, so it would float.

As far as I could make out, the axle brakes (8" dia?)were derived from  Series transmission brakes, which are rod operated.

Thanks John, I don't have any access to Sankey stuff and without seeing it......

Hope all is well with you and Barbara! As I get older it doesn't get easier! Hugs.

Sankey with rod/drum brakes are Girling mechanical, similar to LR park, 10 inch but wider than LR wheel brakes. The drum I found out when I had one from Jacksons, is the same as Austin champ.
