Unfortunately, Margnor Fasteners in Guildford who have been my go to fixings supplier for over 30 years is now in the process of closing. I know there are plenty of alternatives out there, but the ability to drop into my favourite shop and have a natter with Debbie and the team will be something I'll miss. They never let me down and always had what I wanted. Unfortunately retirement and nobody wanting to take on the business has brought the shutters down on yet another great business.

End of an era... :'(

I am however in initial discussions with them about purchasing some of their imperial stock. It may come to nothing, but I thought it might be worth pursuing given how many imperial fixings of all types we are all using.

That's a shame. I used them a fair few times over the years both for home and work use. Bit far from where I live now, Namrick are just down the road for me, but always a shame when places like this close as it's more than just a shop, it's their experience that disappears as well.

Great shame. Excellent service - and nice guy. Hope he has a fitting retirement, so to speak.
