Got this with my pile of parts. Any idea what it is? Land Rover - PTO- ?

Never seen one, so just a guess, steering column for forward control?

It looks like a One Ten, Ninety or Defender steering column with the collapsible joint.
The old days are the old days only because there're gone and won't be back.

Early Ninety / One Ten collapsible steering shaft. Changes to a lighter version in 1994, but that's what it is. If there's no slip in the rubber coupling it could be worth something on eBay. I'm not sure if it's still even available as a replacement part.

Hi,

Nit picking ... but Land Rovers do not have steering racks. They have steering columns, with a gear-box (AKA steering box ) on the end.

Steering racks are best ... less back-lash.

If you want shot of it and a) are prepared to post it and b) don't want a king's ransom for it, then drop me a message. 😃👍

Part number is RTC4738 and I was wrong - it is still available. Paddock's list it anyway.
