Who Remembers These?

Who remembers the Easydriver by Creative Tools Inc? They were obtainable widely in the UK decades ago, I believe Woolworths sold them.
The amount of force that can be generated by using it is quite outstanding. I used mine when building pheasant pens for my mate and he moaned because he couldn't undo the screws with a conventional screwdriver. After a while they suddenly vanished never to be seen again. There's also an adapter and a few sockets I've still got.
I found it while looking for something else and it's now in the garage toolbox.

Can't remember seeing those.

Methinks they would be useful in a conker match......

They work even better if the tip has been kept nice and square and hasn't been rounded off through misuse :)

I used to have one, a 1970's tool I think, given to me by a friend. It had a very fine ratchet so it's good if there isn't much space, I think I overdid it as after a few years it broke. If I saw another one on a tool stall I'd have it.

I've used mine a great deal in its early years and it stood up to hard use ok.
It'll now have an easier life. I've recently found a baby one which takes a 1/4 square drive extension which takes the screwdriver adapter in the socket set. It did have its own screwdriver blade but that's gone AWOL.
It'll be easier to use when I get around to removing the dash top than the socket set ratchet attachment.

There is indeed. Complete with three pictures that carefully fail to show the business end at all, and an AI description that guarantees that I would never, ever, consider bidding on anything the seller has for sale.

I am quite surprised at reports of long life and reliability from owners of these. We sold them very briefly in the family tool shop and the returns rate was horrendous. As a teenager I clearly remember being charged with smashing the plastic handles off the last boxes of them and putting the ferrous remains in the scrap.
