A quick update to say I'm using my 'Ardcase now (thanks John!) and find it good.  It fits between the front seats ok when not is use and is easy to fit/remove.

Mid-1950s, I came out from Croydon indoor swimming baths, to find my bike where I'd left it ... but somebody had stolen my combination padlock and chain. 

If somebody is determined to steal your vehicle, there is not much you can do to stop them.

One person/gang broke into a yard in the Swansea Valley (Ynysmeudwy translates to "Hermits Island") The owner returned the next morning to find his guard dog fast asleep, but happy. Cannabis sandwiches have that effect.
