Re the Roadless what axles does it use, land rover with modification, outsourced or Roadless own.

They were all wheel drive pioneers way back in the tractor world.

They used Kirkstall axles so different from landrover. Similar axles were used in at least 1 roadless tractor conversion and also a forklift I believe.

I don't like the term 'Landy', but my 88" is called PWP, (it's reg.) and my 109" is called Leo Sprayer.

I'm not keen on LandRovers being called 'Trucks'.
I do like Leo Sprayer though.

Agreed... don't like "truck", but it's better than "car".  A buddy calls Grover "the station wagon".

Here in Kansas it is officially listed as a "truck" by the DMV (Department of Motor Vehicles).
'63 SIIa 88 Station Wagon named Grover

Mpudi: So how did the land rover get up the tree?
Steyn: Do you know she has flowers on her panties?
Mpudi: So that's how it got up the tree.

Why not truck?  ??? It is a truck. I'd rather have it called a truck than a j eep or car.

Timothy, for no particular reason.

Previous S2 was called Kennedy, because its numberplate was JFK. I posted a picture of it on facebook and a previous owner  replied and told me they called it that too.

Betsy1969

Betsy , when I first got her or him ( or it ? ) I spent lots of time in the garage and my father in law said " he must have got a woman in there " which eventually morphed into Betsy. He calls our motorhome Betsy too which can get confusing

When I see a highly modified LandRover, yea maybe Truck. But standard is LandRover, Series or Landy but yes, definitely NOT Jeep or Defender.
Unless of course it is a Defender.
Many years ago I had a RangeRover, someone called it a Jeep !  :ranting

I think a land rover is a class of its own.  Dare we whisper that maurice wilkes deconstructed a willys and roverfied it.  Its still not a jeep.

Whilst I agree that calling a range rover a jeep is not cricket, I do believe that the range rover may have be inspired or spawned by the jeep wagoneer which had been around since 1962.

I had wrongly thought that the cherokee chief was the catalyst but that despite its styling came post range rover launch.

Please correct me if that if that is not the case.
