Will a series 2a gear stick fit a series 3 gearbox?

Thanks Diffwine, trying to keep it looking 2a where ever possible, plus I like the series 2 flat gear knob.

... and you can always bend a Series 3 to a Series 2 shape and  fit a flat knob.

Very true Wittsend but I have been offered a series 2 lever complete at a good price so will go with that and put the series 3 lever in spares just in case!
