I've got Rover P4 sun visors in both the S2a and the S3 and I've at least another pair on the shelf for the 86"... they're a dark purple tinted perspex so you can see through them which is handy, but mostly they can swivel and cover the side window too which is the biggest problem with the later LR Series ones in my opinion.

Are they anything like these (which are smokey black see-through) also from a Rover I believe.

They were fitted to the de-luxe cab of my SI diesel when I bought it.

Similar. These ones are longer, and have a curved shape at the end. Yours may be from an earlier car?

Very restricted upwards vision especially at traffic lights. Even worse forward vision with a spare wheel on the bonnet (hood).

I am impressed with the Rover P4 type perspex  ssun visors, it is a pity that they are so expensive

You could have a look for sun visors for AC Cobras.
The ones on my car are a transparent blue acrylic material but they come in a host of other colours. The mounting brackets would be easy to fit / modify to fit the top of a series screen as well.

Those smoked plastic ones shown above in Exile's series one are the closest I have seen to the sunvisors in my 109" station wagon.
My visors are the same except that I don't have acrylic panels, I have hardboard ones and they are covered in white vinyl.

The three screw mounting brackets are the same though and the chrome strip along the top looks the same, you just can't see it on my one as it's covered up with white vinyl.

I found one at my mate's Land Rover business and I lodged it in place to find out what forward vision was like. I abandoned the idea of buying and fitting it then.

I bent and die'd four stainless rods for my two sets of sunvisors. Gluing rubber and plywood tonight and sewing leatherette tomorrow
