I was browsing my usual LRM Email and spotted an Ad' for another LandRover Magazine 'Landover Life'.
It appears to feature several ex LRO writers and maybe a good read.
Don't think I will be partaking just yet, but do wonder how successful it will be given LRO's recent demise, and surely two very similar mag's from one publisher does not make sense ?

There were free copies being given at last October's Newbury Sale. It's really nothing new. I subscribe to LRM and Land Rover Life is not worth bothering with as some articles are similar to LRM ones

I suppose there has to be a limit even in the wide world of LandRover-ing.
I have no plans to subscribe to anymore mags but may dip my thumb.

I think general consensus is we happy to take it for free and yet to see someone say they are happy to subscribe at full price - not the best business model for longevity to be honest.

I have been subscribing to Classic Land Rover but will not be renewing, used to subscribe to LRO so am considering trying Land Rover Life, Neil Watterson is involved so maybe worth a go.

Sadly journalism is in steep decline. The editorial control you see in print acts as a good filter. But it costs. What's found for next to nothing with a few prods of a phone or keyboard, is often very poor - only it's free hence there's little contest.

That a few obscure titles are not viable is one thing, the far greater worry is that solid institutions which form our national press can't make money. With no money for thorough and professional journalism, fakery wins. People and power should be held to account, it is not.

We're seeing the results now.

Land Rover Life is a quarterly publication and I believe it's £25 per annum subscription fee. I don't think it's worth it
I'm getting LRM for £3.99 a month by direct debit.

Compare and contrast with a £25 per annum subscription to our Series 2 Club - a world class magazine 4 times a year, plus all the other benefits of membership  :gold-cup
