A lovely vehicle Craig, but isn't it a pity that the aftermarket manufacturers didn't copy the originals - and build them with two bracing bars under the step, rather than one?

(Speaking as a rivet-counter, of course) ;) .

My partner is an Arthritic Dwarf.
She requested one after seeing one fitted to another Land Rover.

Yes, that has bothered me from the day I fitted them to be honest.

I have a plan to make a template in the CAD system, get 10 new plates laser cut, then modify the steps one by one by cutting off the central support and welding on the twin supports.
It's one of those little jobs, I'll do it one day.....

SWMBO is 5ft2, so passenger side has a step! Similarly rear door on the Carawagon and we also use a camper step to reach that.

109" SW with side steps - I can confirm the bomb hole on strata florida will 'reform' them!  :RHD

Took a bit of straightening!

Mine is 5'4" and is clamoring for side steps.

Mpudi: So how did the land rover get up the tree?
Steyn: Do you know she has flowers on her panties?
Mpudi: So that's how it got up the tree.
