Not a S2 but maybe of interest to some.  The second time I have seen this whilst on the cycle commute.  The first time I spoke to the owner and he said it was built as a pilot run of a dozen or so vehicles.  Checking it on DVLA it was apparently built in '86 but first registered in '94 - may indicate an interesting back-story. The wheelplan is given as two axle!

I'm sure someone will know more of the origins of these, possibly Mark (Diffwhine).  I'd be interested to know more.

Interesting one, but can't help I'm afraid. There were a few converters 6x4 and 6x6 vehicles - usually for fire services. It may have been rebodied I suppose.

If anybody wants one, I know where there is a Stage 1 V8 6x6 which needs a home.

I always wondered how well they drove, do they scrub the rear tyres on corners wearing them out pretty quickly?

I have spoken to a few drivers of the tracked Centaur vehicle and they all say the same, they simply don't steer. Anything other than solid ground and less than 20mph, you turn the steering and they just carry on in a straight line!

I had a 6x6 Range Rover for a bit - it drove beautifully. It used to go round Wandsworth roundabout like it was on rails. No problems with tyre scrub or handling - it all worked fine.

Spotted in a Midsomer Murder episode 1 watched last night. A 109 truck cab CHT 898J. It's currently taxed so I wonder if it's owner is a member.

Slightly different entry here, seen in the car park at Winter Fair in Builth Wells yesterday.
I've cropped the rather more questionable sticker from lower down.

It's not 'wasting' life; rather 'enriching' life 😁

Probably pays others to do their wrenching.

Mpudi: So how did the land rover get up the tree?
Steyn: Do you know she has flowers on her panties?
Mpudi: So that's how it got up the tree.

Useful cat flap.
DVLA records show OUX 132X as SORN and the last V5C issued 28/10/12. It's a petrol engined vehicle.
It failed the MOT spectacularly in June 2007 and passed on October 2012. No more MOT's afterwards. 20 miles added between.
