Just received my renewal quote. No problem with the quote. However after many years with them, the documents were full of serious errors. Plus  my documented agreed value on both vehicles has turned into market value. What's the market value of a 69, and 64 year old vehicle. An impossible figure to arrive at.
So I've written back to get a correctly documented quote.
Anyone else had problems with RH. They are usually good.

Just had another chat with RH. They can't tell me how Agreed Value morphed Into Market Value. But they are suggesting that I might have start the whole process again.
For peace of mind...... check the wording on your policy.

Just got mine from A Flux checked the document and all is good apart from any club discount added so I will call them as I don't want to pay monthly as that's all they have offered not a one off payment I also checked the benefit discount's with the other insurance companies on the list one the enquire button and none recognise the reg of the 2a so that did not get far I guess I will have to call them and compare the prices with AF.

I use the Hagerty valuation tool https://www.hagerty.co.uk/valuation/tool/ Adrian Flux accept that for 'Agreed Value' for me.

I have just used that hagerty tool and got a quote off them using Aviva for £144 much cheaper than my Adrian Flux quote I will confirm with AF tomorrow before moving companies. So thanks TimV

The hagerty tool is useful as a starting point but is somewhat behind the times, only considering 'condition' with no consideration to originality.

My sep '58 is all original panels and paint, has the correct 'numbers', correctly dated parts and has all the 'correct' early bits and yet this guide would class it as grade 4.

You'd struggle to find many like it, 60 years in New Zealand helped a lot.

In the classic motorcycle world (especially Harley's and Indians) original paint bikes (even in barnfind condition)will command a lot more than a restored machine.

As you say it is a 'starting point', however it is third party information that you can point your insurance company to - you can only go up from it, difficult for them to haggle you down.

I got an Aviva quote through Haggerty for the amounts that I wanted. £244 for 1955 86 inch, and 1960 88 Inch inch. Just got to confirm the agreed value. Much the same as the RH quote with less hassle. Thanks for the heads up,

I use Lancaster but not agreed value. 3000 miles limit. £120. Went up £12 this year.
