Finding previous owners in New Zealand

Has anyone managed to track down previous owners in New Zealand? I have a report form a database that shows the number and duration of owners between @ 1980 to current but no owners details due to privacy laws.

I got a 'carjam' report for my '58 NZ export, which showed the change of owners with dates and milages, but again, no names and unfortunately it was re-registered in '93 so only back to then.

It also listed all the WOFs (MOTs) showing milages and pass/fails back to '07.

I cleaned a patch of obvious overspray on the doors which uncovered a faint "P.R.B." Which sent me down a literal 'rabbithole' of research leading to finding out it was a 'rabbit board' truck, used by district governments to control the rabbit infestation problems in return for a tax from landowners.

I've now re-done the lettering and plan to do an artical for the magazine as it's an interesting story.
