I think Brandolini's Law could well apply here.

I gave reply to the idea a Weber 32/34 DTML gives higher mpg. This is not correct. Why would LR fit them if they did?

Witness the 2.5 petrol. It produces 10-15% more power than the 2.25, yet uses the same or slightly less fuel. That's it right there. All else equal, with another 250cc the Weber 32/34 DTML should use 10-15% more fuel, and it doesn't. How so?

Clearly it's not *just* LR's carb choice that grants this power/mpg increase. There's other factors at play, yet overall, the 2.5 is more efficient, and minded that there's little else changed over another 250cc, the carb must be part of the act. It does something prior flavours of SolZenBerg do not.

Is a Weber 32/34 DTML truly good? No. Even with a good one, do I use a Weber 32/34 DTML? No. They're a pain to plumb with my current set-up - no reason to bother. LR never did fit a truly vice-free carb, all are variously poor. I refuse them all.

Me? I run an HS6.
