Some of the cappings are nicely weathered, but got rust on some. Treatment?  Or paint in a can?

If you paint then you ought to use a rust converter first as the rust will come back all too quickly otherwise.

Same with galvafroid for even though it has sacrificial properties it won't stop the rust from returning.

Where the galvanised parts have been painted, is it best to wire wheel the paint off or use something like nitromorse. I have some roof sticks that have been painted black along with my windscreen.

Stripper first wire brush last - if needed )  :RHD

Thanks. I thought that might be the least harsh option.
