Good morning.
Unfortunately have lost my garaging just as insurance is up for renewal. Am with Hagerty at present with an agreed valuation but their price has increased substantially this year anyway.
Anybody got any recommendations as I will need to park on drive or road outside my house in a rural village

Thanks

Tim

Parking on a drive is cheaper than the road or a garage.....

Yes I had that scenario with insurance on a new Rav 4 a few years ago , the Toyota insurance wouldn't quote me for garage parking so had to go elsewhere. I don't understand the logic , surely it's less susceptible to theft if the low life can't see it ?

I think the logic behind it is garages rarely just have a car in them, they'll often have very expensive tools, garden equipment and other high value items all rather desirable to a lowlife, and taking the car is just the cherry on top, why steal one valuable thing when you can get more? I would have thought they're quite prime targets to someone with that pond life mindset

I insure with Heritage (NortonIB) both my Series 2As. The civilian SIIa is on the drive and the Lightweight 2a is on the road and is used more than the other. I pay about £300 for both fully comp, with commuting to and from work. They both have an agreed value and mileage. We have a club discount with Heritage.

My cover with Hagerty went up by almost £30 this year, which equates to around 25%, a hefty percentage increase.
There was several cheaper options but for all round cover I decided to stay with them paying just on £140
The best I found was through an online comparison site for classics, this came back at £88 for agreed cover but had to be garaged. ☹️

Hi

My "secret garden" is circa 40ft by circa 15ft reducing to 7.5ft. with 8ft fences, and an 8ft-ish wide double gate at the wide end. Lit by street lamps. Dropped kerb at wide end. Overlooked by houses on other side of the road.

Near Two Mile Ash, Bletchley, Milton Keynes.

Hard gravel/grit surface.

Currently empty at present, with no immediate plans.

Gibbo has seen it.

If you are good at reversing, there is an almost straight run, say 100ft, at the gates.

Hi,

There was a program on TV, many years ago .....

..... the clefti-wallas first hooked the farmer's  horse=box trailer onto the farmer's Land Rover, then loaded the trailer with all sorts of valuable farm equipment, then .......
