Tonight on Quest Freeview 12, 7pm Drew creates his "Dream Safari Landie!" It's a 2A, could be good for a laugh.
How I detest the term "Landie!!!"

And the word "safari"......

Although a program with a tag line, "Drew creates his dream Series 2A, 88", 2286 Petrol, Station Wagon" isn't quite as catchy.....

I'll record it to watch later this evening. I can skip the rubbish ads then.

A mongrel. A 1970 2A with a Series 2 grill and front wings. The engine at first looked like a 5mb with that rocker cover but when it was removed I could see it was freshly painted in the correct 3mb colours but that's not to say it was a 3mb. I was envious of that roof for £500 (I want one but only the top without the sides) and £1,500 spent on refurbishing the winch but that dreadful white steering wheel. Money seemed no object and it sold for £25k. I wonder if the owner is in the club. Registration number is WDD 348J.
DVLA records show it's taxed until September 2025 and the engine capacity is 0cc. The program was made in 2021. The last V5C was September 2021, it was MOT'd September 2021, 2022  & 2023 and passed with no advisories so it's still in the ownership of the man who bought it in the program.
The visit to Charlesworth Mouldings was interesting.
Altogether somewhat entertaining.
